Quality Control
Petra Education Centre believes in the importance of ensuring quality courses to students in the most effective ways. Petra has in place a number of ways to ensure this.
  1. Petra Education Centre is registered with the Ministry of Education and actively ensures that all new courses and teachers are screened by the Ministry of Education and approved by them.

  2. PETRA ensures that it hires only teachers who have the right qualifications and right attitude that tallies with PETRA’s mission statement and vision.

  3. PETRA’s motto, vision, mission statement and policies are communicated to PETRA teachers through staff meetings, Petra Teacher’s Handbook and verbally by word of mouth.

  4. To ensure that students’ needs are met during lessons, we expect Petra teachers to fill up a Teacher’s Feedback form after every lesson. This is read by the Project Coordinator and if necessary, steps are taken to remedy any particular situation.

  5. Students’ feedback is also sought at the end of each term. There is an in-house feedback form that is used for this purpose. It is optional for students to give their names, but classes are mentioned.

Staff Meetings

We have at least one Staff Meeting every term to discuss policies, work plan and strategies to improve our performance. It is also feedback time for teachers to put forward suggestions to improve the system at PETRA.

We use this opportunity to remind PETRA teachers the importance of ensuring the quality of our instructional programmes and also to be role models for our students. Our mission and vision ideals are reiterated during these sessions.

Teachers are usually given general guidelines to follow. Teachers are also told of our policy of student data confidentiality and urged to cooperate in this regard. Teachers are advised to follow the proper channels if they need to communicate with their students’ parents.
